Dr Ikechi Agbugba is a profound food & agro economist with wide experiences in virtually every aspect of agriculture especially in technology in agriculture, marketing, agribusiness management, entrepreneurship development, among others. He has twice consulted for the UN under the IOM CD4D2 Project spearheaded by the Hague Office. He successfully completed his assignment at the Food Crop Production Technology Transfer Station, Ubiaja, Nigeria. He has wide experience as senior academic/researcher among which are Honorary Associate Professor, Uni of Birmingham; Casual Academic, York St John Uni both in the UK. More so, he is a Co-founder of the following organisations – Africa Org of Tech in Agriculture (AOTA), 4iAfrica and AgriEn. Interestingly, he recently received awards as Global Mentor of Change and Global Emerging Leaders’ Award 2022 from the Global Council for the Promotion of International Trade (GCPIT). In 2017, he received the excellence award as ‘Agro-Economist of the Year’ in the Pan African Agricultural Journalists (PAAJ) Conference at Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria.
